My Integrator is Leaving (or should)… Now What?

Today, I’m talking to you Visionaries.

Here’s the scenario: You’ve had an integrator in place and now they’re leaving. Now what? What do you do?

We see three scenarios where this happens. One scenario – did you run them off? Are they leaving because of you? The second scenario is that they might need to leave because they’re not the right Integrator but you’re hanging on because you’re scared. The third situation is that sometimes life just happens and an Integrator gets taken away. They have to move, go somewhere else, and they have to leave you. Let’s take each one of those scenarios in turn.

The first one – did you run them off? You must be completely honest with yourself. Take a good hard look in the mirror. Did you do something that caused this Integrator to leave? Did you treat them poorly? If so, this is really a message for you. You’ve got to maintain mutual respect. That’s one of our Five Rules and I’d like you to take a look at that. See how that speaks to the situation. Really look deep into your heart and soul. Decide what kind of Visionary you want to be. At the end of the day, you really have a choice.  You can choose to keep turning over Integrators, or to turn over a new leaf.

Second scenario – they’re simply not the right Integrator. You’re thinking back to the time before you had an Integrator and remember how painful that was. You don’t want to go back. You don’t want to go without an Integrator, so you’re tolerating something less than what you need. We did another video on that topic, when you’ve made a hiring mistake in your Integrator. I’d encourage you to go take a look at that and frame that up. Make the right decision for you. Don’t get stuck in that trap.

The third one is that sometimes life happens – and it just happens to take them away. Perhaps something happened with their family, something beyond anyone’s control, that caused them to need to leave you. It puts you back to square one. If that’s the case, you need to go back to the seven step Visionary/Integrator connection process and just do the work. Do the work to get a new Integrator and get going.

Three key points to wrap this one up:

  1. Maintain mutual respect with your Integrator.
  2. If you’ve made a hiring mistake in your Integrator, address it.
  3. If they have to leave, go back to the seven step Visionary/Integrator connection process.

Come see us on RocketFuelNow.com. Take the Visionary and Integrator assessments. See where you’re great. See where you could use some help. We’ve been having some great discussions with other Visionaries & Integrators over on LinkedIn and Facebook.  Regardless of where you are in your process, I encourage you to join the conversation! And finally, read Rocket Fuel. If you’ve already read Rocket Fuel, and you liked it, we’d love to see a review from you on Amazon. We’d really love to hear what you think.

Until next time, Go ROCKET!

Cheers,

Mark
